	<title>The Secret of the Magic Gourd - Space Seq (2007)</title>

All works were done by Centro, including CG, filming, story.... <br />

OK, this space sequence used Maya, mentalray mix with Renderman for Maya to do rendering. Compositing by After Effects.<br />

My lighting &amp; texture team had 5 peoples, finished it in a half year. From the texture mapping to lighting, rendering, compositing, till output. Of course included with other sequence in the same time. ]]>

Background:<br />
Robots are living with us in a very long time. When the intelligence technology keep going to develop, the scientists will invent independent thinking one day. At that moment, I guess robots will want to have a real life. They want to be a human.<br />
&#12288;<br />
So, what will we do at that time? Accept or exterminate?<br />
&#12288;<br />
Human give out the ability of independent thinking to them. Do we have the rights to take it back?<br />
&#12288;<br />
They dream of becoming a human. But human will accept this or not? May be human is not the ruler of the world at that time anymore... ...<br />

&#12288;<br />
About the Design:<br />
We like to play hand shadow in childhood. Cause we can act many kind of creatures as we like. This experience transmit to robot's mind. And I use this to represent the projection of robot's mind also. The shadow on the screen is a human face, I hope everybody can imagine this. It's because robots can't be a real human excatly, they still miss &quot;something&quot;.<br />

In the course of evolution, they face different kind of resistance. The background design just like a ruin in the postwar years. There have a little screen at the lower right corner. It's the evolution of robot, from factory automation arm, tiny electronic creature, anthropomorphic to humanoid.<br />

So I need to put some of my dark art works when I have spare time.<br />

I like typography &amp; collage so much. You can see these in all of my graphic works. The skull created in Painter last year. I use this as my main theme for the Death &amp; the eye can give out the illusion of life as Rebirth.]]>
